Day 1: Casablanca to Rabat

One of the main attractions of Rabat is the Kasbah of the Udayas. The Kasbah is a fortified citadel that was built in the 12th century. It overlooks the Bou Regreg river and the Atlantic Ocean, providing a picturesque view of the city. Inside the Kasbah, you will find narrow alleys, colorful buildings, and beautiful gardens. The Kasbah is also home to the Andalusian Gardens, which is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. Lunch will be served here.

Another must-see site in Rabat is the Hassan Tower. The Hassan Tower is a minaret of an incomplete mosque that was built in the 12th century. The tower is surrounded by beautiful gardens and provides a stunning view of the city.

After a long day of exploring, you will end our day with a delicious Moroccan dinner in the heart of Rabat. Get ready for a delicious meal of tagine, couscous, and other traditional Moroccan dishes. Overnight will be in one of the Rabat’s Hotel.

Day 2: Rabat to Tangier

Welcome to the second day of your 12-day tour from Casablanca! Today, you will journey from Rabat to Tangier, a city on Morocco’s northern coast.

Volubilis was a Roman city that dates back to the 3rd century BC, and it is known for its well-preserved ruins and beautiful mosaics. We will explore the ancient streets, temples, and public buildings of Volubilis to learn more about its fascinating history.

After visiting Volubilis, you will continue our journey to Tangier. Tangier is a vibrant city that is known for its beautiful beaches, bustling markets, and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

After Lunch, you will visit the Kasbah Museum in Tangier. Nestled within the Tangier Kasbah, an ancient fortified citadel tracing its origins to the 17th century, the museum awaits your exploration. Immerse yourself in a treasure trove of Moroccan art and artifacts that grace its halls – a captivating array encompassing ceramics, textiles, and exquisite jewelry. This curated collection offers a compelling insight into Morocco’s cultural legacy, making the museum a prime destination to enrich your understanding of the nation’s rich heritage.

Next, you will visit the Grand Socco, which is a large square in the heart of Tangier. The square is surrounded by cafes and restaurants and is a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike. You will explore the surrounding streets and markets to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

Finally, you will end our day by visiting the Cap Spartel lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at the northernmost point of Morocco and offers a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean. Day 3: Tangier to Chefchaouen

Welcome to Day 3 of your 12-day tour from Casablanca! Today, you will be traveling from Tangier to Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue City.

You will start our day with a delicious breakfast in Tangier before embarking on our journey to Chefchaouen. We will travel through the beautiful Rif Mountains and enjoy the stunning views along the way.

Once you arrive in Chefchaouen, we will check into our hotel and have lunch at a local restaurant. Chefchaouen is known for its delicious cuisine, which includes a variety of Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes.After lunch, you will go sightseeing in Chefchaouen. The city is recognized for its blue-painted houses and tiny lanes, which contribute to its distinct and attractive ambiance. You’ll go to the centre square, Plaza Uta el-Hammam, which is a hive of activity with cafes, restaurants, and shops.

The Kasbah Museum, located in the centre of the ancient town, will be our next stop. The museum houses a collection of items and displays that highlight the region’s history and culture.

In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant that specializes in traditional Moroccan cuisine. We will have the opportunity to taste some of the famous dishes of the region, such as tagine and couscous.

Chefchaouen

After dinner, you will have free time to explore the city at our own pace. Chefchaouen is a great place to relax and unwind, and we can take a leisurely stroll through the streets and soak up the unique atmosphere of this beautiful city.

Day 4: Chefchaouen to Meknes

Welcome to Day 4 of your 12-day tour from Casablanca! Today, you will be traveling from Chefchaouen to Meknes, a historic city located in northern Morocco.

You will start our day with breakfast at our hotel in Chefchaouen before departing for Meknes. Your journey will take us through the stunning landscapes of the Rif Mountains, and you will have plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the beautiful scenery along the way.

After lunch, You will explore the historic city of Meknes, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Meknes is known for its well-preserved medina, which is surrounded by high walls and includes a variety of historic monuments and landmarks.

You will embark on a tour of historical sites, starting with the Bab Mansour gate—a magnificent entrance to the old city. Delve into Moroccan history further by visiting the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the resting place of the sultan who held sway over Morocco from 1672 to 1727.

Day 5: Meknes to Fes

You will start our day with breakfast at our hotel in Meknes before departing for Fes. Along the way, you will pass through the scenic Zerhoune countryside and stop to explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Once you arrive in Fes, you will check into our hotel and have lunch at a local restaurant. Fes is known for its delicious cuisine, which includes a variety of Moroccan and Arab-influenced dishes.

After lunch, you will explore the historic city of Fes, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fes is known for its well-preserved medina, which is the largest pedestrian zone in the world and includes a variety of historic monuments and landmarks.

Exploring further, you will have the opportunity to discover the Bou Inania Madrasa, a stunning 14th-century Islamic school. Marvel at the intricate architecture and cultural significance it holds. Additionally, your journey will lead you to the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, an esteemed institution dating back to the 9th century, recognized as one of the world’s oldest universities and operating uninterruptedly.

Day 6: Fes Guided Tour

Day 6 of your 12-day tour begins in Casablanca! Today, you will have a guided tour of the imperial city of Fes to learn more about it.

You’ll start the day with breakfast at our accommodation before meeting our guide and exploring the city. Your guide will lead you through the narrow streets and alleyways of the old         Medina, one of the world’s best-preserved and largest mediaeval cities.

Fes

You will visit the famous tanneries of Fes, where leather is still produced using traditional methods. The tanneries are located in the heart of the Medina and offer a fascinating insight into the ancient craft of leather-making.

You will also visit the Royal Palace of Fes, which is located in the heart of the modern city. The palace is an impressive example of Moroccan architecture and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and ornate gates.

In the afternoon, you will have lunch at a local restaurant that specializes in traditional Moroccan cuisine. You will have the opportunity to taste some of the famous dishes of the region, such as couscous and harira soup.

After lunch, you will continue our city tour by visiting the Bou Jeloud Gardens, a quiet sanctuary in the midst of the Medina. You’ll also go to the Bab Boujloud gate, which is one of the city’s most spectacular gateways and leads into the old medina.

You will have dinner at a local restaurant that specialised in Moroccan cuisine in the evening. You will be able to sample some of the local specialties, such as pastilla and kefta. Spend the night in a hotel.

Day 7: Fes to Merzouga

On the seventh day of our 12-day tour from Casablanca, you will leave Fes behind and head towards the magnificent desert of Merzouga. This will be a long day of travel as we will cover a distance of around 480 km, but the journey will be worth it once we reach the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Fes

You will start the day with a delicious breakfast at our hotel in Fes before hitting the road towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. As you drive towards the south, we will pass through several small towns and villages, where we will have the opportunity to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life.

Your first stop of the day will be at Ifrane, a picturesque town that is often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco due to its unique architecture and stunning natural beauty. Here, you will take a short walk around the town’s charming streets and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Merzouga

After Ifrane, you will continue our journey towards Merzouga, passing through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you will have the chance to see Barbary macaques, a species of monkey native to the region. You will also stop at Midelt, a small town famous for its apple orchards, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch.

As you approach Merzouga, you will start to see the first signs of the Sahara desert. The landscape will gradually change, and we will start to see the magnificent sand dunes of Erg Chebbi in the distance. Once you arrive in Merzouga, we will check into our hotel, where we will have some time to freshen up and relax before heading out to explore the dunes.

You will spend the night under the stars. Our local guides will lead us through the dunes, and we will have the chance to witness a breathtaking sunset over the desert.

For dinner, you will enjoy a traditional Berber meal cooked by our local hosts, featuring local specialties such as tajine and couscous. After dinner, you will gather around the campfire and listen to the traditional music of the Berber people.

Day 8: Exploring Merzouga

On the 8th day of our 12-day tour from Casablanca, you will be exploring the stunning desert town of Merzouga, located in southeastern Morocco. Merzouga is famous for its towering sand dunes that stretch up to 150 meters high, making it a popular destination for tourists who want to experience the magic of the Sahara Desert.

You will start our day with a delicious breakfast at our hotel, which will likely include traditional Moroccan dishes such as msemen (a type of flatbread), scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and sweet mint tea. After breakfast, you will head out to explore the town and its surrounding areas.

Merzouga

One of the main attractions in Merzouga is Erg Chebbi, a vast expanse of sand dunes that is simply breathtaking. You will take a camel ride through the dunes, led by experienced guides who will show us the best spots for taking stunning photos and enjoying the views. The camel ride will take around 2-3 hours, and we will stop for a picnic lunch in the middle of the desert, where we can relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

After lunch, you will visit a nearby village where you can learn about the traditional way of life in this part of Morocco. You will have the opportunity to meet local Berber families and learn about their customs, beliefs, and way of life. We can also shop for souvenirs such as hand-woven carpets, pottery, and jewelry.

As the sun starts to set, you will head back to our hotel for a delicious dinner, which might include tagine (a slow-cooked stew made with meat and vegetables), couscous, and freshly baked bread. After dinner, you can relax around a campfire and listen to traditional Berber music under the starry desert sky, making unforgettable memories of our trip to Merzouga.

Day 9: Merzouga to Dades Gorges

On day nine of your 12-day tour from Casablanca, you will leave the serene and beautiful Merzouga behind and head towards the Dades Gorges. Merzouga is a small village located in the Sahara Desert, famous for its stunning sand dunes, camel rides, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

After a delicious breakfast, you will depart from Merzouga and drive towards the Todra Gorges, which is a beautiful canyon that is formed by the Todra River. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and you will have plenty of opportunities to take photos and soak in the natural beauty of the area.

For lunch, you will stop at a local restaurant that serves traditional Moroccan cuisine. You can enjoy some delicious couscous, tagine, or kebabs along with fresh bread, olives, and mint tea.

Dades Gorges

After lunch, you will continue your journey towards the Dades Gorges. The Dades Gorges is a series of stunning canyons that are carved out of the High Atlas Mountains. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and you will be amazed by the towering cliffs, deep gorges, and lush green valleys.

Upon reaching the Dades Gorges, you will check into your hotel and freshen up. You can spend some time exploring the local area and taking in the stunning views. For dinner, you can try some delicious local dishes such as lamb tagine with prunes and almonds, or chicken with preserved lemon and olives. You can also enjoy some fresh salad, bread, and traditional Moroccan sweets for dessert.

Day 10:  Dades Gorges to Marrakech

On the 10th day of your 12-day tour from Casablanca, you will leave the beautiful Dades Gorges and head towards Marrakech, one of the most famous cities in Morocco.

Before you leave Dades Gorges, make sure to enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel or one of the local cafes. Moroccan breakfast typically includes bread, butter, jam, honey, cheese, olives, and mint tea, which is a refreshing and traditional drink. You can also try local pastries like msemen or baghrir, which are a type of pancake.

Marrakech

On your way to Marrakech, you will pass through the famous Todra Gorge, where you can stop and take a short walk to admire the natural beauty of the area. Todra Gorge is a massive canyon that is famous for its steep walls and crystal-clear river that runs through it. You can also stop in one of the local cafes to enjoy a cup of mint tea or a traditional Moroccan lunch.

After your visit to Todra Gorge, you will continue your journey to Marrakech. Once you arrive, you will check into your hotel and have some time to freshen up before heading out to explore the city. Marrakech is famous for its vibrant culture, bustling markets, and historical landmarks, such as the Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace.

For dinner, you can try some of the local Moroccan cuisine, such as tagine, which is a traditional stew made with meat or vegetables and spices, or couscous, which is a staple dish in Morocco. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in Marrakech that offer traditional Moroccan food as well as international cuisine.

After dinner, you can stroll around the city’s famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, which is always alive with street performers, musicians, and food vendors. You can try some local delicacies like snails or roasted lamb while enjoying the lively atmosphere of the square.

Day 11: Marrakech Guided Tour

You can begin exploring Marrakech, Morocco’s “red city,” after breakfast at your hotel/riad. You will see the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the main square area Ljamaa Lfna, among other historical and cultural attractions.

Following lunch at a café near the plaza, you will go through the souks, where you will see hundreds of handicrafts. You will have some free time in the afternoon to explore the rest of the city on your own.

Marrakech

Marrakech is known as the “Red City” because of its red sandstone city walls and structures. It has Berber rather than Arab roots and was a significant commercial centre for Atlas mountain tribes.The souks are to the north, the Koutoubia Mosque and Gardens to the west, and the kasbah region with the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and El Badi Palace to the south.

The Majorelle Gardens are located in the new city. Explore the intricate labyrinth of souks hidden behind regular eateries and shops using your senses. For spices, woodwork, and babouche, visit Souk el Attarin, Souk Chouari, and Souk Smata (traditional Moroccan slippers). To witness how cloth and yarn are dyed using traditional processes, go to the Souk of Tanneries or the dyers’ souk. The Ben Youssef Madrasa, a 16th-century Koranic school, is a magnificent example of Moroccan Islamic architecture.

Day 12: Marrakech to Casablanca

On the final day of your 12-day tour from Casablanca, you will depart from Marrakech and head back to Casablanca. Your tour will end with a transfer to the airport in Casablanca for your onward journey.
