Day 1: Rabat, Meknes, Volubilis and Fes

Day 2: Fes, Ifrane, Ziz Valley, Erfoud and Merzouga

On day two of your 4-day tour from Rabat to Marrakech, you will explore the breathtaking landscapes of Morocco’s countryside. Your first stop will be Ifrane, a beautiful town located in the Middle Atlas Mountains. With its charming European-style architecture and lush green forests, Ifrane is often referred to as “The Switzerland of Morocco.”

Next, you will drive through the stunning Ziz Valley, known for its lush palm groves, traditional Berber villages, and stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

After a delicious lunch, your journey will take you to the small town of Erfoud, famous for its fossil beds and traditional craft markets. You will have the opportunity to visit a fossil factory and learn about the process of fossil extraction and preservation.

Finally, you will arrive in Merzouga, a small desert town located on the edge of the Sahara Desert. From here, you will take a camel ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to our desert camp, where you will spend the night under the starry sky. You will enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, listen to live music and immerse ourselves in the local culture.

Day 3: Merzouga, Todra gorges, and Dades Valley

Day three will begin with a stunning sunrise in the Sahara Desert, as you wake up to the peaceful silence of the desert and the first rays of sunlight illuminating the golden dunes. You will enjoy a traditional breakfast in the desert camp, before embarking on a morning desert adventure. You can explore the nearby dunes by camel treking, try sandboarding, or simply take in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding landscape.

After your desert experience, you’ll leave Merzouga and head to Todra Gorges. Found in the High Atlas Mountains, they are cliffs and canyons shaped by the Todra River. Hiking through, you’ll witness great views and the traditional Berber way of life.

Next, from Todra Gorges, you’ll drive through the Dades Valley, an oasis nestled between the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas Mountains. Known for its striking landscapes, it features rock formations, palm groves, and Berber villages. You can explore on foot, hike the gorges and valleys, and interact with friendly locals.

During our journey, we’ll visit Dades Gorges, stunning canyons formed by the Dades River. These canyons boast impressive rock formations and breathtaking views, attracting photography enthusiasts and sightseers.

As the day comes to an end, you will make your way to your hotel in the Dades Valley. Here, we you will enjoy a traditional Berber dinner and relax in the tranquil surroundings of the valley, taking in the stunning sunset views.

Day 4: Dades Valley, Rose Valley, Ait Ben-Haddou and Marrakech

On the last day of your 4-day journey from Rabat to Marrakech, you’ll continue your exploration through Morocco’s stunning landscapes, traveling from the Dades Valley to the vibrant city of Marrakech.

Your initial destination will be the Rose Valley, a place famous for its aromatic roses and scenic views. At a local rose cooperative, you’ll discover the age-old techniques of rose cultivation and production, while also taking in the breathtaking beauty of the nearby valley.

Next, you will travel to Ait Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic landmarks in Morocco. Ait Ben-Haddou is a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture, with its towering mud-brick buildings and winding streets. You will have the opportunity to explore the kasbah and learn about the fascinating history and culture of this ancient fortified city.
