You’ll then continue on to Meknes, where you’ll visit the Hercules Baths and the Royal Palace. Stop at Roman Volubilis. Volubilis was a Roman city located in present-day Morocco. The city was built in the 3rd century BC and was later abandoned in the 5th century AD.

From there, Leave to Fes, where you’ll check into your hotel and have the evening free to explore the city.

Today you will explore the city of Fes with your local guide. This ancient city is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Fes el Bali Medina, as well as a number of other historic mosques and madrasas.

You will also have the opportunity to try some traditional Moroccan food and shop for souvenirs in the city’s bustling markets. After a full day of exploration, you will return to your hotel in Fes.

Day 3: Fes to the Sahara Desert, Camel ride in Erg Chebbi dunes.

On the third day of your Sahara Desert tour, you’ll travel from Fes to the Erg Chebbi dunes. On your journey to Southeast Merzouga, you will pass through the Cedar Forest, where you can meet Berber apes and take lovely pictures. Along the way, you will also pass through Zaida and Midelt. Lunch will be in the “apple city” of Midelt. Near the city, you will reach the middle atlas mountains and the Ziz valley and stop at the second largest palm groves in Morocco.

Continue on to the gate of the Moroccan desert “Erfoud”, which is known for its fossils. Discover how they convert simple fossil rock into a beautiful decoration. A short drive to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi will complete your journey.
