4 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech Itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Errachedia – Erfoud – Merzouga:
The first day of the 4 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech across the desert, will take you through the Middle Atlas’s sizable cedar forest, where you’ll see a lot of Atlas macaques. After that, we travel through the Ziz valley to Errachidia. From there, we will travel to the capital city of the dates, Erfoud, a small city that will be found on the way before continuing to the Sahara desert.
We travel to Merzouga to begin the Desert adventures after a brief respite. You will be transported on camels, and the caravan driver will lead the way between Erg Chebbi’s huge dunes to the camp there. You will enjoy watching the sunset from Morocco’s expansive dunes, a sumptuous dinner will be served around the campfire while you spend the night in the Sahara camp under the stars, and get ready for the day after for a new experience.
Day 2: Merzouga desert discovery:
On this day, you will wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, then explore the desert area of Merzouga, see the rock carvings in Taous and visit the village of Khamia, famed for its musicians, and have lunch with nomad people living in the desert before preparing for a camel ride experience across the dunes.
And last, when the sun goes down, you will enjoy the best sunset in the world over the golden sand. Once we arrive at the luxurious camps in the desert, you will spend the entire night there after enjoying a traditional Berber dinner around the campfire with music.
Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:
You will rise early on the third day of our 4-day tour to take in another sunrise over the Merzouga desert. After returning to the town on camels, you’ll have breakfast and take a wash before going on to the Todra Gorges, which are the tallest and most narrow gorges in all of Morocco.
After lunch in the gorge, we’ll continue to the Dades Valley to admire sandcastles and the “monkey toes” rock formations. Here, we might have a wander around the valley. While we are staying in Dades Gorges, we eat dinner and breakfast at a neighboring hotel.
Day 4: Ouarzzazat – Ait ben haddou – Marrakech:
After breakfast, we’ll head to Ouarzazate, the film industry’s epicenter and a popular retreat for foreign directors. You’ll explore the Atlas Studios before continuing to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most well-known fortified villages. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, known as the “Granada of the Desert,” has served as the setting for numerous movies, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.
We’ll stop along the way to take in the breathtaking vistas and genuine Berber settlements before continuing through the Tizi n’Tichka hills. We’ll stop for lunch at a restaurant in the center of the Atlas before traveling to Marrakech, where we’ll arrive in the late afternoon. This closes our trip from Fez to Marrakech in an unforgettable fantastic four days tour.
