Itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Sahara desert of Merzouga:
On your first day trip from Fes to Merzouga, we will depart from Fes where we will pick you up, visit the city of Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’, and drive you through the stunning cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, home to Atlas macaques.
Concentrated. Travel through Ziz Valley to Errachidia. Stop in the city of Erfoud, the capital of the date palms and fossils, for a break before heading to Merzouga to begin your desert adventure.
When you arrive at the gorgeous luxury desert camp, spend the night there after enjoying a traditional Amazigh dinner around the campfire while listening to music under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Tinjdad – Todra Canyon – Dades Valley:
After an unforgettable night in the desert, you will watch a peaceful sunrise which is highly recommended, After breakfast at your luxury camp, you will enjoy your last camel trek adventure before leaving the Sahara desert of Merzouga.
The first stop will be at the Rissani to visit one of the oldest markets in Morocco, in Tinghir you will have the opportunity to walk along the Todra Valley, under the Todra Canyon.
The day ends in peace, in the breathtaking valley of the Dades. We will stay in a charming hotel that includes dinner and breakfast. But before you drive along the Dades valley to a place, where you can see the marvelous rock formation, known as the monkey fingers.
Day 3 : Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Do not miss the opportunity to take a morning stroll through the Dades Gorges, a time of the day when nature is more resplendent. We continue the tour through the ‘Route of the Thousand Kasbahs’ to Kelaat Mgouna – the City of Roses, we will also visit the palm grove of Skoura.
By lunchtime, we will stop at Ait Ben Haddou, the most important place on the Thousand Kasbah’s Route, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is very famous for having been used as the set in Hollywood movies, such as “The Mummy”, “The Gladiator” and “Game of Thrones”.
Then we will take the high mountainous roads of the High Atlas, to take some photos while enjoying the pure air and calm of the Atlas. The last stop will be at a traditional Berber village. Enjoy stunning landscapes along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening.
