2 Days Tour from Marrakech to Zagora Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou:
We will begin our Morocco 2 Days tour from Marrakech to Zagora at 7 AM, driving through the spectacular mountains called the Tizi-nTichka, reaching a height of 2260m. We’ll start our journey in the High Atlas Mountains, taking in the stunning panoramic views of the natural landscape and the Berber villages on the way. Following, we’ll continue our journey to the Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then we’ll have lunch in Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco as they call it before we’ll take the road to Zagora.
After crossing the Draa River at the Tizi N’Tanifeft pass and arriving in the village of Agdz, we’ll continue our journey along the Draa River. We’ll wind our way through several Berber villages and eventually arrive in Zagora. After a refreshing mint tea at your hotel, your camel driver will take you to Bivouac where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2: Zagora -Marrakech via Draa Valley, Ouarzazate, High Atlas Mountains:
Embarking on the next leg of our journey, we’ll traverse the captivating expanse known as the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs as we make our way to Marrakech. Following a hearty breakfast at your bivouac, our drive promises to be both scenic and enlightening. An intriguing stop is planned, allowing us to marvel at the unique architecture of the Kasbah of Tamnougalt, an engaging pause in our adventure.
Post-lunch, we’ll continue our exploration by visiting the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. This distinctive landmark, steeped in history, stands as a testament to the region’s rich cultural heritage. Our lunchtime nourishment will be enjoyed at a local eatery, providing not only sustenance but also a taste of the neighborhood’s flavors.
After traversing the High Atlas Mountains, we’ll return to Marrakech, where your interesting 2-day trip will end.
